External Trustees

The Christian Muslim Forum is seeking to recruit two additional trustees to supplement our existing four trustees who are drawn from our Presidents (Christian and Muslim religious leaders).

The initial term will be for at least two years and up to four years, subject to annual review. The specifications for the two roles are shown below:
 
  • A commitment to the vision and work of the Forum
  • An openness to the faith of which you are not a member, willingness to learn about and engage with the ‘other’ faith perspective
  • To attend, each year, at least 2 out of 3 Forum meetings
  • Attending 5 or 6 trustee meetings each year
  • To offer this work on a voluntary basis, although expenses will be met
  • Be available for around 10 days each year
 
1. Organisation Role
 
  • Significant experience in finance, financial, human resources or business management
  • Experience of working in voluntary, charitable, faith sector
  • Track record of effective management roles
  • Experience of activity costing, full-cost recovery
  • Involvement in the delivery of chargeable services
 
2. Fundraising Role
 
  • Accredited competence in fundraising 
  • Significant and successful track record of fundraising
  • Experience of working in voluntary, charitable, faith sector
  • Able to support staff and other trustees in fundraising approaches
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of fundraising best practice
  • Ability to promote the work and raise our profile
